Teaching is a great way of contributing to society and enhancing the skills of young and impressionable minds. Riding atop this motto. KHANDELWAL CLASSES is set to commence its journey for helping students in their preparation for the coveted IIT-JEE exams. We are set to mentor those students who have the commitment and determination to make it to the IIT-JEE (Advanced). This pursuit is aimed at achieving the twin objectives of helping passionate students to achieve outstanding success in llT-JEE (Advanced) as well as to catapult the name of Jharkhand on the national IIT-JEE map, so that the students do not have to take pains to move to far-off places like KOTA.

The KHANDELWAL CLASSES will be mentored by its core faculty Shri K.K. Khandeiwal, IAS (1988 batch, AIR 8). An alumnus of IIT, Kharagpur Shri Khandelwal (AIR 52, 1981 llT-JEE Exam) has proved it with amazing consistency that through his quality teaching, cracking IIT-JEE could in fact be a fairly simple exercise. Driven by his sheer passion to see many students getting through IIT-JEE which remains dream for them, Mr. Khandelwal decided to take an unimaginable decision to quit his very high profile premier job of IAS while still left with 4 years of active service. It so happened in the year 2010 that while Shri Khandelwal was engaged with the hectic schedule of his key assignments in the Govt. of Jharkhand, his elder son Ankur went through the ordeal of joining coaching classes in Ranchi as well as in Kota (Rajasthan) without much success. Finding no other way out, the concerned father decided to guide his son all by himself. He personally taught Ankur Physics & Mathematics who got through IlT-JEE in 2011 with AIR 570. It was crystal clear that in-depth knowledge of the subject and conceptual clarity could add immensely to the art of teaching and could lead to wonderful results. Mr Khandelwal understands that if quality education is imparted with emphasis on Conceptual Clarity and Focus on Fundamentals, the goal is bound to be achieved.

Shri Khandelwal though not satisfied with the above outcome, yet he was convinced about his inherent knack of teaching and hence decided to guide his younger son Anupam who was appearing for llT-JEE in2013. His nephew Aniket too joined Anupam. Shri Khandelwal taught both of them Physics and Mathematics. While Anupam secured AIR 9 in JEE (Adv.) 2013, the best ever in Ranchi with the highest marks in Mathematics in the country and 100% marks in Physics Paper-2, Aniket got through with AIR 56 and secured 100% ,marks in Physics Paper-1. Anupam was also Zonal topper from IIT Kharagpur Zone (which comprises of West Bengal, Orissa, Jharkhand, Part of Bihar, Chattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh and a few other states). While Anupam was topper, Aniket Khandelwal was 2nd topper from entire Jharkhand as well as Bihar. It is worthwhile to mention that in the 2013 llT-JEE exam, the cut-off marks for the selection from General category was 152 out of 360. Interestingly Anupam had secured 168 out of 180 marks in the 2nd paper itself. Thus he could have got into IIT on the basis of marks secured in 2nd paper only. A comparative glance at the result of llT-JEE (Advanced) 2013 of these two vis-a-vis the best in the country is quite revealing.

As a father of two young sons, sending both of them to IIT would have normally been end of the story. But Shri Khandelwal was not content to sit on his laurels. While teaching his wards he had developed his passion for teaching and experienced eternal joy within him. He further continued with his passion and decided to teach few more students free of cost Thus six students from Ranchi were selected and despite his pressing official engagements they were taught Physics and Mathematics exclusively by Shri Khandelwal. And all of them cracked IIT-JEE (Advanced) 2017. Thus his success rate has been consistently 100% so far.The successful six were
1. Yash Raj (AIR-224)
2. Aranya Aryaman [AIR-570)
3. Mayank Kumar (AIR-827)
4. Amitanshu Kumar (AIR-2814)
5. Ray Apoorva Nach (AIR-3210)
6. Mayank Kumar (AIR-3624)
Driven by his passion to see as many students getting through llT-JEE, Shri K K Khandelwal decided to quit the government service and hence has taken voluntary retirement with effect from 1st January, 2019. He has taken this radical step while still left with around 4 years of active service in the IAS.

In the beginning, the avowed aim of the KHANDELWAL CLASSES is to prepare the students for successfully cracking llT-JEE (Advanced) in 2021, Hence, applications are being invited from students who are currently in class X.
